Incline Village Guesthouse
Set among the pines of Lake Tahoe, this one-bedroom guesthouse was reimagined as a quiet retreat that feels both expansive and considered. The existing compartmentalized rooms were opened to create a generous great room, allowing living, dining, and kitchen to flow together. Natural light moves through the space easily, framed by a restrained palette of wood, stone, and neutral finishes. The kitchen sits just behind the living space, integrated rather than emphasized, supporting daily life without disrupting the openness of the main room. Custom millwork defines the entrance and dining area, bringing organized intimacy to the open plan while preserving continuity across the great room. Rounded forms, finely detailed cabinetry, and concealed storage give the space a sculptural character while maintaining a clean, composed expression. Within the compact footprint, a dedicated home office was carved out, giving guests a private place to work without compromising the larger spatial experience. It makes the guesthouse equally suited to short visits and extended stays. The bedroom suite was designed for quiet comfort. Muted tones, soft light, and a spa-like bath create an atmosphere that feels intimate and restorative without effort.
