Sonoma Wine Tasting Room

A remodel of a historic building located on Sonoma’s landmark plaza. The interior was reorganized to house a commercial wine tasting room, company offices and an apartment. The goal of the design was to provide flexible commercial spaces that accommodate daily wine tastings as well as larger events and private wine club activities.  An accordion door system opens the main space onto a new front deck, and speak-easy bookcase doors conceal the private wine room when it’s not open to the public. The exterior volume of the roof and walls were salvaged and recomposed with new windows and doors that reflect the interior changes.
